Pfaff gathering foot, for overlock machine

The Pfaff gathering foot is perfect for gathering a single layer of fabric or simultaneously gathering and sewing two layers of fabric. (The bottom layer of fabric is gathered and the top layer remains just straight.)

Suitable for thin and regular woven fabric
1. Set the overlock machine to the desired stitch.
2. Snap the gathering foot onto the machine.
3. Slide the bottom fabric layer (the fabric to be gathered) between the stitch plate and the gathering foot, all the way to the blade, right side up.
4. Slide the top fabric layer into the opening of the gathering foot and level with the bottom layer right side down.
5. Lower the presser foot and sew. Guide the fabric against the fabric guide and allow the bottom layer to feed freely to gather.

Tip: To gather fuller
- Increase the upper thread tension
- Set the differential feed to a higher number
- Set the stitch length to a higher number

You can also gather a single layer of fabric by placing the fabric under the presser foot and adjusting the stitch length, differential feed and upper thread tension to the desired fullness.
