Seraflock for overlock machines
Seraflock also called muslin yarn is made of Polyester for overlocking elastic fabrics, lingerie, swimwear etc. Seraflock is a yarn with a bit of stretch which allows for even greater stretchability of seams. Another advantage of the Seraflock yarn is its soft texture so it will not irritate the skin. Seraflock muslin thread is ideally suited for use in coverlock machines to prevent stitch skipping but it also works very well on overlock machines. The manufacturer Mettler who makes Seralock also has elastic thread for the sewing machine under the name Seraflex sewing thread.Seraflock lock thread is shrink free and easy to work with allowing you to cover and lock unsurpassed and trouble free, even on the most demanding coverlock and of course overlock machines.
What is Seraflock?
Seraflock is a special yarn from Metller amnann it is a so-called textured lock yarn. It consists of shrunken polyester threads. When you twist the yarn in your hand, the individual threads are very recognizable. They do not run side by side, resulting in a puffy texture. In addition, it feels much softer than normal lock yarn. Unlike normal lock yarn, the threads are not twisted together and do not contain elastic fibers. This may surprise you, because Seraflock is sold as highly elastic and feels that way. But the elasticity arises solely from the texture. As a rule, elasticity is up to about 10%.

Which color Seraflock lock thread fits best
Seraflock from Amann is available in 30 fashion colors. White, black, blue, red, yellow, brown, gray or green there is something for everyone. Either way you can always find the right color for you fabric. Not sure what color Seraflock yarn best suits your clothing? Is the right color hard to find? Take one or two shades darker than the fabric, this is much less noticeable than if you will use a lighter color thread on a darker fabric lighter stitching is much more noticeable.
