Reflection period
You are granted the statutory 14-day cooling-off period on your purchases. The cooling-off period (or: withdrawal period) expires 14 days after the day you take physical possession of the product. This is when the recipient takes possession of the package and not the carrier. To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must notify us with the return notification button that you wish to return/revoke your purchase.

Frequently asked return questions
Will I always get a full refund on the purchase price?
In principle, almost always. It does logically depend on the condition of the product.
You are only liable for the depreciation of the goods resulting from the use of the goods beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods. For example, you may feel free to take a sewing machine out of its packaging and look at it, you are not supposed to use it to make one piece of clothing or try the sewing machine on for a while and then return it to us.
When will I receive my refund?
We will refund the amount as soon as possible. This will be done in the same way as the payment method you chose when ordering the items. When we receive the items we will refund the amount within 7 working days.
Who is responsible for proper delivery of the return?
The responsibility for the return is yours. According to legislation, it is the consumer who is responsible that the return shipment arrives in good condition at Huissteden.nl. Therefore Huissteden offers the possibility to insure the return shipment. This insurance can be taken out during the return process.
Who pays the return shipping costs?
When a product arrives wrong or defective and can be proven we will pay the shipping costs of returning the product. If you do not like an item, you have accidentally ordered the wrong item or you have changed your mind you are responsible for the shipping costs.
What is and is not allowed in the reflection period?

Within the return period you can look at your purchase at home just as you would in the store. If you do not like the item because it is, for example, too big or too small, or just not the right color, you can return it and get your money back.
Below we give you a few tips to avoid disappointment when returning your purchase.

We understand your enthusiasm to unpack something, but always unpack your purchase carefully so as not to damage the packaging or the product.

When you actually start using an item, depreciation soon occurs because traces of use remain. A foot pedal will not easily leave traces of use, but trying out a sewing embroidery machine or a ScanNCut will. Feel free to unpack it neatly and look at it from all sides but don't sew, embroider or cut with it.

Some included accessories you won't need right away to determine if your purchase meets your expectations. In that case, leave them in the packaging so you can't lose them either.
If the original packaging, or the inner packaging protecting the product is missing or badly damaged, there is also depreciation in value.

What can't be returned?
- You can't return everything you buy online. Some products do not have a cooling-off period:
- Software whose seal has been broken after delivery or whose packaging has been opened. You cannot return installed or registered software either.
- Consumables, such as foils, mats and liquids whose packaging has been opened
- Books, to prevent copying
- Yarns, it is no longer possible to check the number of meters.
What is the best way to pack my return?
- You pack the product - if reasonably possible - in its original condition, unopened (not used) and undamaged in its original packaging.
- Please send the items as they were sent. If the original shipping box is no longer there, we recommend packing the items well so they are not damaged in transit.
- The product must be in as original and undamaged a state as possible.
With visible signs of use, missing accessories, damaged packaging and/or the absence of the original packaging/description, you are no longer entitled to the full purchase price. In this case you will receive a partial refund from us. This is always 75% of the original purchase price. Unfortunately, we cannot return used goods. - Do not forget to enclose the order form with the package.
Is it possible to exchange an item?
It is currently only physically possible to exchange items in the store.

When you register the return using the blue button at the top of this page, the address will automatically be set correctly.
