Description
With the Pfaff fringe foot also known as pass-through, you can create fantastic loop embellishments- like magic! This beautiful effect is particularly spectacular on terry cloth or velvet.
1. Mark the desired motif on the fabric with a textile pen.
2. Place a piece of stabilizer under the fabric.
3. Set the top tension to 2-3 (reduce the top tension so much that the bobbin thread no longer reaches the surface).
4. Select the zigzag stitch. Length 0.5 to 1 mm. Sew the stitches row by row. For circles, work from the outside in.
5. If you are using thicker yarn, choose a slightly longer stitch length. Always sew a test piece first.
6. When finished, gently pull the work out from under the sewing machine by the last loops. If you pull too fast, you will pull out/tighten the end loops.
7. Tie the beginning and end of the threads at the back. Use seam sealer to prevent the loops from pulling out.
