Pfaff Banding device for non pre-folded tape

This Pfaff quilt binding guide foot for the sewing machine is perfect for binding your quilt projects. Create a beautiful binding of up to 12 mm around your quilt in no time. Just place the fabric strip in the guide and sew! Due to the extra space in the guide, quilt layers are transported effortlessly. The tape guide is attached to the machine using the screw holes in the stitch plate. A special presser foot for the IDT system is included for perfect results

Pfaff's quilt binding guide foot makes it possible to create beautiful binding around your quilt in no time. Cut a binding from thin, woven fabric 45 mm wide, place the fabric in the foot and sew away!

1. attach the quilting foot with guide.
2. set the machine to a straight stitch or a quilt stitch with handmade look.
3. place the attachment plate on the machine's stitch plate. Make sure the pin on the bottom of the attachment plate falls into the opening of the stitch plate. Screw the attachment plate in place with one of the screws provided.
4. place the guide on the attachment plate. Secure the guide with the two screws and the two washers.
5. measure the length of your piping and add at least 15 cm extra length.
6. cut enough 45 mm strips and sew them together into one long strip. Cut the end of the strip into a point.
7. using tweezers, slide the fabric strip into the guide with the wrong side facing you.
8. when the fabric is through the end of the guide, hold the folded strip with your left hand and continue to slide it into the guide to create a double-folded strip.
9. raise the presser foot and pull the strip under the presser foot and straight back, about 2.5 - 5 cm behind the needle.
10. slide the fabric to be bound right side up into the opening of the guide. Adjust the stitch position to the right or left to achieve the desired needle position
