The Juki cording foot for the overlocker is designed for decorative and firming applications with thin materials:

• Reinforcing edges: The main use is sewing in nylon thread, fine thread or thin thread/fish thread (sometimes called "gimp") along the edge of the fabric.

• Fringe and curl edges (Roll hem): The foot is equipped with two gimp guides. By guiding the thread through these before you begin sewing, tension is applied to the fabric. This helps form firm, curled edges on delicate fabrics, such as a rolled hem or fringe, and prevents them from sagging.

• Decoration: You can also use it to attach thin decorative cords or ribbons along the edge of the workpiece with the overlock stitch.
