Bernina Darning Foot 9

With the Bernina Darning Foot 9, darning small holes and tears is almost automatic.
The mechanism with the vertical spring presses the fabric securely. This prevents the fabric from being pulled up while sewing and ensures a beautiful stitch pattern. Thanks to its special shape, Bernina darning foot 9 is also ideally suited to free-motion embroidery, quilting and the attachment of beautiful lace and monograms.

Method of operation

> Select the straight stitch.
> Lower the feed teeth.
> Attach the feed table.
> Hoop the fabric in the darning ring (special accessory) and attach the darning ring and attach the darning ring to the darning ring connector on the machine.
- The darning area remains evenly tensioned and cannot be distorted.
> Sew from left to right, guiding the fabric evenly by hand without applying pressure. Move in curves when changing direction to avoid holes and thread breakage. Do not sew the first rows too close together and beyond the worn area.
> Turn the fabric in the darning ring 90° if possible.
> Do not sew the first rows too close together.
> Turn the fabric 180°.
> Sew another loose row.
