The Bernina L860 overlocker works perfectly and very suitable for processing all types of threads and fabrics, especially highly elastic and knitted materials. The Bernina L860 thus ensures the perfect seam on every project, it can work with 3- and 4-thread overlock, flatlock, rolled hem and sewing stitches as well as wrapped overlock stitches and all selectable via the large color touch screen. With the exclusive one-step Bernina air threading system, threading the looper has become child's play.

Color touchscreen
You easily operate the Bernina L860 via the centrally located color touchscreen. Stitch selection, individual stitch settings, stitch properties or memory the touchscreen displays all information at any time and adjustments are also possible while sewing. You have a sewing guide, stitch optimization and help animations for all functions. There are two ways to operate the overlocker: advanced users can enter all desired settings directly, quickly and individually in expert mode, while beginners in guided mode receive step-by-step instructions on choosing the right stitch, machine settings and m for stitch optimization. In both modes, stitch selection also automatically sets thread tension, stitch length and differential feed.

The One-step Bernina air threader
With Bernina's exclusive and simple air threading system, threading the looper is child's play.
Our Swiss technicians have created a masterpiece. The great advantage: when threading the two looper threads, both hands remain free to guide the threads. With just a push of the pedal, the threads are guided through the machine in no time. Fascinatingly fast and easy! The Bernina L860 automatically sets the looper to the correct position for the air threader - no need to turn the handwheel or search for the correct position... just press the pedal and the threading continues automatically!

Total stitch control
The Bernina L860 is perfect for handling a wide variety of fabrics and threads in all kinds of combinations. The machine sews, cuts and finishes everything in a single step, making even sewing projects with the most challenging
materials a snap. The Bernina L860 offers several settings for total stitch control - all individually adjustable. Achieve perfect results quickly with a few simple steps. With the recommended default settings, beginners can start their project immediately. Experienced users have numerous options to personalize settings for endless creativity. Using the Micro Thread Control (mtc) button, the amount of sling thread that wraps the fabric edge can be precisely adjusted.

Extremely fast, precise and quiet
The Bernina L860 has a maximum sewing speed of 1,500 stitches per minute. Using the pedal, you
control the motor very precisely - for strong, constant stitching power and precision at any sewing speed. You can not only sew fast, but also sew as slow as 250 stitches per minute or stitch-by-stitch. This makes
perfectly executing straight, precise lines and curves a piece of cake. And it all happens with the extremely
quiet hum of a Bernina The maximum and minimum speed can even be set via the touchscreen.

Large sewing space
The work surface of the Bernina L860 offers plenty of space. There is more space to the right of the needle and more working height than on any other Bernina overlocker. You guide the fabric easily, and access to
the presser foot elevator and needles is comfortable and easy. Sew closed sections, such as sleeves or cuffs, with ease by simply sliding them over the convenient free arm. In addition, the large extension table further expands the work surface, simplifying the sewing of large projects.
