You can use the Pfaff Sewing and Folding footfor different types of edges, such as lace, embroidered edges or to create beautiful borders in combination with different fabrics and the beautiful Pfaff 9 mm stitches. This way you can create lingerie in no time.
Create beautiful handkerchiefs with lace edges or elegant tablecloths.
This presser foot smoothly guides the border and base fabric through the openings in the front of the foot, folds the base fabric and sews the border in place at the same time.
1. Thread your machine with regular sewing thread or decorative thread as the top thread and regular sewing thread on the bobbin.
2. Select the stitch you want to use. For example, you can sew the border on the base fabric with a straight stitch and a 4 mm wide twin needle or with a right-aligned wide decorative stitch.
Note: Decorative stitches with a forward motion work best.
(Do not use stitches with too much reverse motion.)
3. Using your finger or the iron, iron a 6 mm edge of the base fabric to the wrong side.
4. Insert the folded edge of the base fabric right side up into the left fabric guide and the edge fabric (right side up) into the right guide and slide the folded fabric edge and edge fabric into the presser foot before attaching the presser foot to the sewing machine.
5. Check that the base fabric and edge fabric slide smoothly through the openings.
Note: Thin firm fabrics and edges work best.
6. Snap the Sewing and Folding Foot onto the sewing machine.
7. Turn on the IDT system.
8. Sew carefully, not too fast. If your sewing machine has a speed control, set the sewing speed low so you can guide the fabric and edge well
