Description of the Pfaff Large Piping Foot
The extra-large Pfaff Piping Foot is perfect for inserting thick piping into seams of home accessories or anywhere you want to add a finishing touch!
Use the Pfaff Large Piping Foot to cover thick cording with fabric for special piping in seams or trims for a professional finish. The trim is sewn in one step between the two layers of fabric. You can also create your own piping for a personalized finish. This foot can be snapped on to the right or left of the needle. This allows you to create the piping and sew in the seam and topstitch nicely along the piping
To make piping foot from your fabric
1. Snap the large piping foot onto the right side of the needle.
2. Turn on the IDT system.
3. Cut bias or diagonal thread-cut strips wide enough to cover the cord, with a seam allowance.
4. Lay the cord on the wrong side of the strip of fabric and fold the fabric over the cord.
5. Place the fabric and cord under the Large Piping Foot with the cord to the left of the presser foot.
6. Select straight stitch, with stitch length 2.5mm. Move the needle position to the left. Sew.
7. Use your new piping in projects using the steps above.TIP: When sewing this piping into a project, adjust the needle position so that it sews one place closer to the cord, to hide the first stitches.
