Description of the Madeira Tear Away cotton stable
Madeira Tear Away cotton stable is a tear-off, iron-on embroidery fleece. The iron-on secures the fabric and can be glide-stitched together with the Cotton Stable. The iron-on layer has only low adhesive strength. Therefore Cotton Stable leaves no residue when removed, Ideal for embroidering elastic fabrics such as T-shirts, stretch fabrics, knitted goods, and jersey; buttonholes in elastic materials; appliques and computer prints.
Instructions for use Cotton Stable:
Cotton Stable has a layer on one side that becomes heat tacky. Machine Embroidery: Cotton Stable stabilizes elastic fabrics during embroidery. Cut Cotton Stable to the desired length from the roll. Lay the fleece with the adhesive layer on the underside on the back of the fabric. Iron the fleece onto the fabric with a normal iron, adjusting the temperature of the iron to the fabric, but do not exceed 2 dots. The ironing time depends on the fabric, the adhesive effect starts after about 5 to 20 seconds. Stretch fleece with the fabric tightly in the embroidery hoop - with the fabric at the top. After embroidering, carefully tear off the fleece projecting outside the fabric
Tear Aways"
"Tear Aways" are flexible, soft, universal fleeces for use with medium and heavy fabrics. They are great for machine embroidery, as well as patchwork or quilting. They are called "Tear Away" because one can carefully tear away the remnants of the fleece on the outside of the embroidery with the fingers. Madeira's tear-away embroidery fleeces consist of lace and are free of synthetic additives. They are gentle on the skin and therefore also particularly suitable for children's and baby clothing, among others.
