Description of the Madeira Cut Away Super Film
Madeira Cut Away Super Film is a special heat-soluble, perforated and transparent embroidery film. Super Film is a heat-sensitive special film that dissolves when ironed hot. Super Film is perforated and therefore excellent for stitching on insignia, as the motif can be torn off easily and neatly. Compared to water-soluble films, Super Film has the advantage that water-sensitive fabrics (e.g. velvet, moiré fabrics) can also be worked on. Ideal for machine embroidery, lace embroidery (etching embroidery), logos and badges.
Instructions for use Super Film:
Super Film cut into the desired length from the roll and clamped into an embroidery frame. Depending on the structure of the embroidery, apply the film multilayer. The smooth side of the film layer should be on the upper side In case of two layers, lay the rough sides on top of each other, in case of 3 layers, lay the rough side of layer 3 on the smooth side of layer two. Then embroider the chosen insignia/logo. After embroidering, detach the insignia/logo from Super Film. Melt away residual film with the iron or a heat press. When ironing, do not leave the iron in one place, but iron it over the embroidery in circular motions. Set the ironing temperature to 2 dots, if necessary increase it carefully to 3 dots. If using a heat press, leave the embroidery in the heat press for approx. 10 - 20 seconds at a temperature of approx. 120° C.
Embroidery/Cut Aways "Cut Aways"
"Cut Aways" are permanent stabilizers, intended to keep the fabric firm and stable during and after embroidery. They are called "Cut Away" (= eng.: to cut away), because these fleeces should be cut away along the embroidery. Perfect for embroidery with a high stitch density and fabrics that contain a lot of stretch, such as tricot fabrics.
