Husqvarna elastic foot

The Original Husqvarna Elastic Foot guides and stretches 6 to 12 mm wide elastic while sewing. Use this foot for sportswear, lingerie and enere elastic sewing techniques.

1. Set the numbered gray disk to 3 or 4. The metal arrow should point to the number. The higher the number, the further the elastic is stretched.
2. Gently push the gray roller wheel toward the numbered disk and pull it up.
3. Slide the elastic through the wide opening in the bottom of the foot.
4. Lower the roller wheel onto the elastic and snap it into place by pushing it away from the numbered disc.
5. Turn the roller until the recess in the center of the roller matches the width of the elastic so that the elastic is guided straight.
6. Snap the elastic foot onto the machine. Set the machine for a sewn zigzag stitch, length 1, width 5, presser foot pressure 7-9. (The higher the pressure, the more fabric will be gathered onto the elastic.)
7. Place the fabric under the foot and begin sewing. The elastic will be stretched and sewn automatically. The higher the number on the wheel on the foot, the further the elastic is stretched.
