Description of the Babylock Piping foot, for overlock machine
The Babylock piping foot is suitable for inserting lace ready piping into hems and on edges for a beautiful finish. The trim is sewn between the two layers of fabric in one step. The piping is guided through a groove under the foot. You can also create your own piping for a tailored finish. With the piping foot you can quickly and easily cover a cord with fabric and sew piping into hems for a professional effect.

| Set the overlock machine for the desired stitch |
| Snap on the piping foot |
Sewing piping into a seam |
| Place the piping along the seam line on the right side of the fabric. Place the second piece of fabric on top with right sides together |
| Place the fabric and cord layer under the piping foot with the cord in the groove on the underside of the foot |
| Sew the piping into the seam |
| The groove on the underside of the foot guides the piping as you sew |
| To make piping from your fabric |
| Cut bias or diagonally cut strips wide enough to cover the cord plus seam allowances |
| Place the cord on the wrong side of the strip and fold the fabric over the cord |
| Place fabric and cord under the piping foot with the cord in the groove on the underside of the foot |
| Sew. The groove guides the cord as you sew |
